Introduction

Nestled amid the forest, Pataleban Vineyard Resort, located in Baad Bhanjyang Kathmandu, Nepal, is home to luxury and leisure. I picked this spot for a leisurely weekend getaway, looking for nature near the city. But as I sipped my coffee as a welcome drink and watched the ambience and environment, I was confident that this serene hideaway truly could deliver on its promise of peace.

Location

Located at Chisapani5, Baad Bhanjyang Kathmandu, Nepal, this resort lies near Thankot, one of the entry points to Kathmandu. It is a perfect retreat for those who want to enjoy nature near the city.  It seduces guests with peace and warm hospitality. The neighborhood vibe is pure rural tranquility. The hustle-bustle of Kathmandu can be grueling. Many of us are in constant pursuit of sanctuary, and that’s exactly where this resort comes in. This is a perfect spot where you can leave the noise behind.

Design & Ambiance

The architecture draws from local Nepali styles with Japanese influences in the winery layout. In the entryway, I could hear the chirping of the bird in the background as the treetops swayed in the wind. My first impression was enchanting, like entering a living painting. It is the best place where guests want to feel peace of nature.

Rooms

I booked a room, expecting modest comfort, but it exceeded that. We were taken to rooms located in a building that was almost near the forest. It was a spacious haven with king-sized beds. Comfort was top-notch. Amenities included Wi-Fi, TV, and large bathrooms. We missed the fridge though.

Dining & Drinks

Breakfast was a major highlight. Breakfast covers everything from fruit juice to made-to-order omelettes. I loved the juice and sausage. The menu in the restaurant has bags of healthy options. The breakfast was served in the garden with smiling staff. Little gestures and their warm behaviour really touched us. The dinner menu had various choices and the food was very tasty.

Service

The staff service was smooth. Check-in was seamless, under 10 minutes, and we enjoyed complementary hot coffee in the cold environment. Staff are efficient yet relaxed.

Facilities

There are no spa or gym here, but the real draw is the vineyard and forest, where you can feel peace. Event spaces are professional, with natural acoustics ideal for conferences or weddings, equipped with basic tech. Sustainability shines through: eco-friendly practices like organic farming, community jungle preservation rich in wild orchids and herbal plants, and guided hikes promoting conservation. It is a nature-focused setup, perfect for rejuvenating without the crowds.

Value for Money

At rates that feel like a steal for the experience – it justifies every rupee with inclusive perks like breakfast and activities. No pesky hidden fees for Wi-Fi or early check-in; it’s straightforward. Best for couples seeking romantic vineyard vibe, families on eco-adventures, or solo wanderers craving quiet places near Kathmandu.

Standout Moments & Final Verdict

One unforgettable highlight was drinking coffee on the terrace, watching the green forest and Kathmandu’s lights twinkling like stars.

Final Rating: 9/10
