Snowman Cafe is one of the favorite places of the youngsters in Freak Street. Established in the late 60s, it has its own identity. Ram Prasad Manandhar, who started this café some 50 years ago, still has the same passion like before. A survey from a Chinese company voted this café ‘The most popular hangout place in Asia 2016’.
It is a two story building with the walls decorated by the customers as a souvenir of their life. These cool paintings added the real charm to the cafe. The limelight creates a wonderful ambiance and makes you feel chilled.
The café offers you different kind of drinks. One shouldn’t miss black forest and apple cake. The café offers you different kind of juices at a very reasonable price. Even you can order cakes for the celebrations.
“I like to be at snowman because the satisfaction I get hanging out there with my buddies, enjoying the sip of a cup of milk tea is beyond comparable to any other coffee shop. And also the smoky cool environment and of course Raju dai and his cakes…man snowman is my junction too,” says Jay Joshi.
This café is mostly famous for the tea and different varieties of cakes. This is also famous among the foreigners. Those, who visit Freak Street definitely should visit the café. They mostly come for the cakes and pies. People come to spend their leisure time with their friends and have a good cup of tea. It’s a regular hangout place for many customers. Many college students like to come here after their classes and in the evening, one should struggle hard to find the empty seats. Many come here to get rid of their stresses from their busy working schedule. It’s a place where you find new friends.
