Police on Friday arrested civil society leaders Baluwatar in Kathmandu.
Civil society leaders including Narayan Wagle, Archana Thapa, Sanjeev Uprety, Khagendra Sangraula, Sanjeev Upreti, and others were demonstrating against government’s intervention into the operation of Medical Education Commission.
The detainees have been taken to Nepal Police Club in Bhrikutimandap.
The demonstrators protested against unwarranted political interference with Medical Education Commission, commercialization of health sector and providing affiliation to B&C Medical College without meeting legal criteria
