Kathmandu – As Nepal is in the grips of the devastating second wave of coronavirus and as it scrambles to find medical supplies and vaccines, the Government of the United Kingdom has sent 260 ventilators and other medical supplies to Nepal.
The Embassy of Nepal in London stated that the United Kingdom has sent the medical supplies to Nepal at the request of the Government of Nepal. The plane carrying 19,200 face shields flew from the UK on Thursday.
The statement stated that the embassy is continuing its initiative to send additional medical supplies and vaccines to Nepal.
Nepal is reeling from the second wave of coronavirus. Daily coronavirus cases and related fatalities are skyrocketting. Nepal urgently needs help in vaccines and supplies, else it will create unprecedented disaster.
