Bahrain Prince and his team scale Everest


The team led by Bahrain prince Shaikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa successfully climbed Mount Everest, the tallest peak of the world.

It is the first scale since the new height of Mount Sagarmatha (8848.86 meter) was declared.

The team arrived in Nepal in March with about 2,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. The prince planned to donate the AstraZeneca shots to villagers in the Gorkha district. and this move was in controversy.

Nepal require prior permission and a guarantee that they will be stored properly while importing drugs from abroad and the government informed a probe has been launched to investigate the import of the vaccines.
