India renounces to extend air routes as concurred with Nepal


India has sit out to extend four air-routes as concurred with Nepal some four months ago.

Team of five Nepali technicians hold a meeting at New Delhi but it was not quite fruitful highlighting the defense reason by the technicians of the Southern neighbor.

India highlighted the high traffic under the route as proposed by Nepal. The air space agenda was given a nod during Indian Prime Minister’s Nepal visit in 2014. Issued joint communique stated “The cross-border direct routes will facilitate flights between regional airports in Pokhara and Bhairahawa, and this will save time and money for air travellers and also improve air connectivity between India and Nepal.”

However, there was no  major-league developments with regards to extending routes.
